subtle Awakenings

The Subtle Awakenings woven jacquard collection emerged through unique discovery while walking. I like to take walks and often the dramas of the day consume me. Yet, sometimes there are these moments when I let my thoughts settle; a whole new world emerges. All of a sudden the texture on an old lamp post catches my eye, or the pattern of stones in the sidewalk. I captured these moments of “subtle awakening” through a series of photographs and later abstracted and realized a collection of fabric based on the discoveries I made while walking.
